West Side Art Tour
Uncover the hidden artistry of Singapore’s far western reaches on the West Side Art Tour presented by NTU Museum. This guided bus-and-walking experience highlights the rich mix of arts and heritage in and around Nanyang Technological University. Explore thought-provoking art exhibitions and striking campus architecture, discover National Monuments tucked within the Nanyang constituency, and delve into the wood-firing traditions of Singapore’s last heritage dragon kilns right amid the emerging Jurong Innovation District. Join us to experience western Singapore’s culture and heritage in one art-filled tour.
Tour Highlights
Some thing we will see on this tour:
NTU: Take the chance to visit NTU Museum's On the cusp art exhibition. We will also see the university's iconic architecture like Wee Cho Yaw Plaza and The Hive and its National Monuments Chinese Heritage Centre and Nanyang Monument.
Nanyang CC: See the original Nanyang Arch in the Nanyang neighbourhood, and admire the large-scale murals on the sides of its HDB walls.
Tawas: Connected by the tranquil Potter's Garden, we will visit Jalan Bahar Clay Studios and Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle to see and learn about the historic dragon kilns and pottery heritage of this area.

In conjunction with Singapore Art Week 2026 and the launch of NTU Museum's annual art exhibition On the cusp:

- 31 Jan 2025 (Sat), 9am - 12pm
- NTU assumes no liability or responsibility for injury, loss, or damage to persons or property, inconvenience, delay, or expense.
- All tours are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend the tour, please inform us via email ahead of time. You may appoint a friend to fill your seat on your behalf, or let us know to cancel your slot so we can open it up to other interested applicants. It may be possible to postpone your seat to the next available tour, but this is not guaranteed.
- The tour is open to participants of all ages. Children below the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult or require parental consent to participate.
- The tour will proceed rain or shine. Several of the locations are outdoor, unsheltered locations with no air-conditioning. Please dress appropriately for Singapore’s weather and carry sun/rain protection like a cap and umbrella for example.
- A chartered bus will be used to transport participants between locations, but that will be some walking involved at the various locations, please wear appropriate shoes.
- There will be a short rest stop midway during the tour with an opportunity to purchase some drinks. Please carry your own water bottles to stay properly hydrated on the tour.
- All information collected in this form will strictly be used to facilitate contact with participants regarding this tour unless otherwise indicated.
